Our inspiration to create Easyflops came from the desire to make people's lives easier and better. If you walk in Easyflops down to the ocean, get your feet wet, turn around, walk back and slide your feet right into them, the upper strap slides forward so you don’t have to bend over or kick your sandals off - you simply slide your feet in! Easyflops sandals are going to provide users with new level of comfort and ease of use. The ability to wear Easyflops front to back and back to front is a great opportunity to optimize your life. People with back disabilities, pregnant women and seniors will benefit from Easyflops sandals, the most because of ease of use. The customer will never have to bend over to turn them around or walk around them. That is why we are donating 5% of our profit to American Orthopaedic Association. Regular users will also have lots of fun with Easyflops sandals using them at home, outdoors and in sport activities.

How to use your Easyflops?

Step by step instructions

  1. Put your Easyflops on the floor in the position you are going to wear them
  2. Slide upper strap all the way in the position it should be when you walk in them
  3. Open upper strap
  4. Place your feet it comfortably
  5. Lock upper strap so your feet are firmly in place but to too tight
  6. Get up and walk across the space try to remove your feet and slide them in from the other direction until you get used to this new concept of wearing footwear.

There are many different factors that play a part in the performance of Foot Flops and the key ingredient is our patent pending thermoplastic layer (Thermo-Form™ foam). What we have succeeded in creating is the perfect materials that form completely to your feet with our patent pending HEAT™ technology.

  • How do you compare Easyflops to other brands for durability?
  • Naturally the first question anyone can ask. Easyflops are disruptively new type of footwear and you either love them or hate them. The sliding mechanism is a big help if you use your flip flops all the time - Easyflops not only look cool, they are very functional as well.   • Is the sliding mechanism used in Easyflops durable enough to use them for long walks?
  • The current version of Easyflops is using 4th generation slider and we went all the way make it the right way. While every person has a distinctive gate type we designed the slider in a such a way that it works with every type of foot. It is made of industrial grade stainless steel and hollow stainless steel rods. Sliders slide over rods with precision, protecting it from send and dust.
  • Are my feet going to be comfortable in your insoles either direction?
  • Excellent question! This was the task our research team had started from. We hired a team of podiatric orthopedic experts to insure great level of comfort for your feet. Every curve and dent was designed in 1/8” segments and took 6 months to develop this particular form of an insole, plus an insole is layered with special silicon pads to help your feet feel easy. Now we are fully confident that the comfort will not be an issue here. Uniquely designed orthopedic insole, layered with silicon pads will never make your feet feel that you wear your flip flops backwards. Our soles work in perfect unison with any feet to provide strength, flexibility and balance for the person to walk or even run in Easyflops.
  • How do place my order?
  • You can place your order on our Facebook store (https://www.facebook.com/easyflops/). Once our funding campaign is over you will receive an e-mail with instructions and Backer number for the discount to be applied.
  • How can I change my pledge amount?
  • You can click the blue “Manage" button that appears next to your pledge amount. Enter a new amount in the pledge amount box. Note that you are not adding to your existing pledge; the amount you enter will be the total amount collected if the project is successfully funded.
  • How do you compare these to other brands for durability?
  • Great question, but easy to answer! We are not going to try to discredit other brands and brag but will tell you this: Our team consists of two engineers and we have approached the question of durability thoroughly. We've taken the knowledge from past experiences and decided to use the most durable metal and the highest quality materials of sole, straps, leathers and traction surfaces. We've stressed our product multiple "bike" and "jump" tests and they have not shown any signs of damage or even wear!
  • Is there a warranty to this product?
  • If you decide your Easyflops are the wrong size, we will replace the order or give a 100% refund on unused Easyflops returned. If there is any kind of material defects on your Easyflops we will send you another pair, or we will give a 100% refund on your sandals.
  • Where can I get a sizing chart to place my order?
  • The sizing chart will be sent out with the order forms once the project has closed. Then, according to your pledge amount and the reward, you will be able to pick your sizes and colors. At that time, we will gather your shipping addresses and fulfil the orders. We have made a buffer period to ship August 2018 but anticipate that we will be able to fulfil these orders sooner that that!
  • How do I get a backer Discount purchasing on Facebook Store or eBay?
  • A unique Backer number will be emailed to you at the end of funding campaign. That number you will attach to your order and new invoice will be sent to you.
  • Are you going to produce kid's sizes?
  • Yes, we will, but there is a limit to how small sliding mechanism can get and this is why we are not listing kid's sizes in our pledges. You will be able to ask a question when you receive an email from us with a chart after the campaign is over.

Meet the Easyflops Team

Alex Guseff

Originally from Russia, Alex has been Inventing and making things since was a was a kid. Attended Chemistry in Federal University of Irkutsk but in 1998 moved to Milwaukee, WI to pursue a carrier in commercial construction. One of his inventions while in construction industry was a vinyl Paint Brush Case. One day he noticed that professional painters wrap their wet brushes in newspaper after work to keep their bristles straight and sharp in the morning - apparently there was no better way to get it done. Soon he bought some vinyl, drafted the design and hired a shoemaker to produce the paint brush case - it worked. Recently, on a business mission in Irkutsk, Russia and finished local Linguistic University in 2016. Owns a Restaurant. Since 2015 involved in Orthopedic Industry and became interested in footwear design and manufacturing. Inventing Easyflops became the natural result of his involvement in footwear industry.

Alexey Paromonoff

Born and raised in Communist Russia Alexey has been a mechanical engineer for over 40 years. Recently retired, he got involved in sales and met Alex Guseff. Together they have started Easyflops project. His involvement as an engineer have impacted the design of sliding mechanism as we can see it today.

Alexey is a dedicated and trustful partner with the set of skills right for this project.

Vyacheslav Stolyarov

Born in Irkutsk Region in 1973, finished Federal University of Cinematography in 2002. Owns a Film Production firm in Irkutsk. Spends lots of his time outdoors filming Baikal nature and helping the World to get familiar with local history and Culture. A member of National Association of Geography and National Association of Cinematographers of Russia. Joined the Easyflops project in 2016 and has been a great help and encouragement to the team. His professional vision and dedication helped to visualize the final product and see the market.

Risks and Challenges

We have spent a full year working on a shape of the insole together with a team of Podiatrists and then until summer of 2018 working with CNC programmers and industrial designers to make sure the transition from prototype to production goes flawlessly. The original Cork insole prototype was made using various foot prints and projections by Podiatrists and their main goal was foot comfort and safety - the prototype was matched with hundreds of feet and we are proud with the result. The transition from hand-made to production prototype was accomplished with the help of 3D scanning, CAD programming and CNC machining at Federal Technical University labs. Sliding mechanism also went through several revisions until we have reached the level of durability and safety required. We also carefully chose all the materials to make sure Easyflops become wear'n'tear resistant footwear of world class. Now we can safely say that we have a production prototype that has matured to be mass manufactured.

We are looking forward partnering with vendors and manufacturers and understand that some third party setbacks based on factors outside of our control could take place but we are confident we'll get everything on track quick enough not to disappoint you. We will communicate with our backers from start to finish and make sure everyone is up to date on our progress until every order is fulfilled and every pair of Easyflops is delivered to you.

Detail what the funds will be used for

All the collected funds will be used to cover the development, design and manufacturing set up costs for the mass production of Easyflops. In order for us to set up production we are going to need to accomplish following steps: Create industrial version of CAD design adopted to mass injection moulding and sliding upper strap manufacturing since our current models are produced using CNC machining process, and this is cost prohibitive for mass manufacturing. Also the choice of materials could be potentially adjusted and expanded due to the needs of the market and availability of materials. Our target production geography for now is China since our team already has a partnering experience in that area, but are open to suggestions and new ideas. The Sliding Upper Strap mechanism might need some minor adjustments to accommodate mass production environment, but we are confident we have done our best testing and trying different ways.
